Peace begins with YOU

Character matters. Peace is realized through a carefully refined character. Balance equals harmony, harmony equals peace, peace equals love. To find peace therefore, your character must ‘know’ - must become balance and harmony and only through these you will know love. Character, refined character is the only path to inner peace which provides lifelong fulfillment. Resolve today to refine your character. Micro equals macro. To correct ourselves is to correct the planet. The only way you can make character corrections is to perform a thorough analysis of your character which presumes awareness,

“It’s a great day in a man’s life when he sits down and has a long talk with himself” ~ Napoleon Hill”The life unexamined is not worth living” ~ Socrates

It is no stretch to say that the extent to which you are able to develop these character traits and score highly on all these personal qualities will be proportional to your ability to realize enduring success.

If we could fast-forward 20 years, your overall satisfaction with your life would be directly proportional to your overall score on this page…
(excerpt: “The 3 C’s” eBook by Mitch W. Steel)

As a reaction to that statement and the general work involved in refining one’s character, most people typically begin to question the validity of this theory – and start to consider other people. They tend to say “what about… Nancy or Jim or… all the other examples of successful people who have not refined their character?”

Well, there are two important things to keep in mind. First, their apparent success is not your concern and when you are focused elsewhere it is a grave waste of YOUR time and energy – (keeping you from your desired outcome). Second, over the long haul their apparent success— if that is truly their character— will be revealed as temporary and ultimately fleeting (due to said constant change above).

I do not have enough fingers to count the number of people I’ve been fascinated with – particularly early in my career – those with all the money and “toys” who seemingly had “it all” materially speaking. In almost every case – that was their intent- to gain possessions in almost a “race” like fashion. There was little or NO regard to the foundation of character.

Ultimately, though when challenges occurred, as they must, without the well-developed foundation of character their apparent “success” crumbled. Holistically speaking without such a foundation they were already “broke” long before they lost their money– by compromising the things that really mattered— family, friends, self-respect, and spirituality.

Remember, this is not the ideal future or the SUCCESS we’re shooting for.

Your PRIMARY goal is to collect and compile all the essential FREE things you can in this life - in abundance; health, happiness, love, family, friends, self-respect, contribution, etc.

You can call this, the, “if it’s free, it’s for me” game. As Ralph Waldo Emerson stated, “the true measure of a man’s wealth is in the things he can afford not to buy”. We all understand what money can buy – but we often forget what it cannot buy. No one is a success without these vital possessions and anyone can be a success who has them. Do not be misled!

So, while I recognize it’s easy to get caught up in the allure of material objects and others’ success (another illusion) –the real value is in securing the “FREE” things in life and keeping your focus directed inward.

Which "FREE" character trait do you most value?

      Hi Mitch,

      Great Artcle.
Character is the pathway to personal success.
Free stuffs are more valuable than priced ones.
Inner wealth is the most precious wealth anyone can achieve in his lifetime than all the other possessions.
      Thanks for sharing the wisdom.

      Best Wishes,
